Registered Nurse (Maternity Care Coordinator)
The Maternity Care Coordinator (MCC) reports to the Chief of Staff and provides routine contact and support to women Veterans during their pregnancy and through 1-year post-partum. The MCC assess Veteran health concerns through a holistic and trauma-informed lens and provides perinatal and post-natal education to women Veterans. In addition, the MCC assists with pregnancy options counseling, explains coverage and benefits and coordinates community and VA health care services for the Veteran. Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency. In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7403(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.
