Perform the nursing requirements to meet the physical and emotional states of our veteran population through initiation of actions to assist the veteran in achieving their goals of treatment and care; ability in observing the veterans physical or emotional well-being, and ability to effectively communicate or document their observations to other health care professionals such as activities of daily living, vital signs, veterans' daily behaviors, safety care concerns, and patient care findings The nursing assistant's overall objective is to assist the veteran in achieving their treatment goal, and to motivate and enhance the veteran's physical or emotional well-being. She/he is responsible for maintaining up to date mandatory training and attending required in-services as well as maintaining current BLS certification. The incumbent will possess effective communication skills and customer service practices and be able to pass physical standards requirements. The incumbent must be able to perform the physical techniques as taught in the Prevention and Management of Disturbed Behavior and Work Schedule: 7:30am - 4:00PM, including weekends and holidays 3:30pm - midnight including weekends and holidays Telework: Not available.
