The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct resident nursing care and care coordination, as it pertains, to residents and their care within the Community Living Center (CLC). The work is performed in the Community Living Center using Cultural Transformation delivery methods of care at the Mann-Grandstaff VAMC hospital facility in Spokane, Washington. The CLC Registered Nurse is a professional registered nurse (RN) qualified by education and experience to provide professional nursing care to acute and chronically ill Veterans. Direct Patient Care Nurse demonstrates exceptional skills in work planning, observation, dependability, and communication. Documents and reports care appropriately. Demonstrates ability to function as charge nurse and be a resource for other staff .The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct patient nursing care and care coordination, as it pertains, to patients and their care within the Community Living Center (CLC).Direct patient care nurse may help with treatment, and/or charge nurse duties. Functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary care team for the CLC and possibly other areas of the hospital. The employee sets priorities, organizes and plans the work to meet deadlines, resolves routine problems, and independently performs work in accordance with unit standards, procedures and accepted practices. Work Schedule: Two vacancies: 12 hour day tours 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. (may include weekends & holidays), Once vacancy: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
