The Float Pool allows us to better care for our patients by supporting our employees
In the float pool you get a variety of clinical experiences, exposure to new patients and coworkers, and constant learning
RNs float to a variety of areas to ensure appropriate staffing in departments throughout the system including Freeman West and Freeman East
Depending on experience, our nurses may float to Cardiology, Critical Care, Emergency Department, General Surgery, ICU Stepdown (TCU), Medical, Stroke Unit (CMU), and Orthopaedics/Neurosurgery (other areas are optional)
To be a part of the float pool you must be a team player, be willing to teach and support coworkers, and have critical thinking skills

Requirements You’ll need a Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. Applicants must display standards of the Freeman Five-Star Promise which include Teamwork, Ownership, Compassion, Communication, and Professionalism.
