The Behavioral Specialist has the responsibility and the accountability for guidance and training of MHTâ€™s on the Behavioral Health Unit. This position requires the full understanding and active participation fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS St. Patrickâ€™s Hospital. It is expected that the associate demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.
Degree preferred in a Mental Health related field; or 5 yearsâ€™ experience working in a Behavioral Health Setting.Â If the associate does not have a degree, they must obtain a degree in a related field within 24 months of accepting this position
5 yearsâ€™ experience working with psychiatric patients; and 5 yearsâ€™ experience training and on-boarding Mental Health Technicians preferred
Current American Heart Association BLS
De-Escalation certification within 90 days of employment
