Forecasts, coordinates, implements and supervises all medical/surgical supply and instrumentation services provided by the department. Provides administration support, coordinates special projects and completes evaluations as directed. Requires the ability to perform under stress in a high volume department.
High school or equivalent or higher education
National CS/SPD certification
Completion of an approved central service technology course
Certified Surgical Tech
Medical supply/inventory control, distribution, patient charge and reconciliation experience
Knowledgeable in reprocessing of surgical instruments and case cart system
Good communication skills and effective interpersonal relationship skills
