Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) Thoracic Oncology Surgery (OR First assist)
Hours: day shifts flexed from 10-12 hours including weekends (Saturdays), no overnights. May be required to work until 9pm.
We are seeking an APP to provide comprehensive care to the Thoracic Oncology Surgery service to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care.

You Will:
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members
Provide comprehensive care to Thoracic Oncology Surgery patients
Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuum
Will cover on a rotating basis in the OR, taking consults, outpatient clinics and inpatient floor.
Qualifications needed for a PA candidate are:
Graduate from an accredited PA program
NCCPA certification
Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
A minimum of 3 years of related experience is preferred
Qualifications needed for an NP Applicant are:
NP-first assist certification
Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses/registrations
Masters degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
3+ years of related clinical experience
