The Risk Manager investigates and resolves incidents and grievances; secures evidence; creates and documents investigative files; resolves disputes/claims with patient and/or family members; resolves facility risk related issues; facilitates corrective action; initiates reports to insurance carrier and regulatory agencies; assesses damages and injury for claims, answers interrogatories and request to produce for claims, prepares staff for depositions and trials, and manages and coordinates claims with defense counsel. Identifies opportunities for the improvement of quality, safety and cost, as well as patient, customer, and employee satisfaction. Education: - Bachelor's Degree; Master’s Degree a plus
Credentials: - Registered Nurse
- Meet "Qualified Healthcare Risk Manager" competencies in accordance with FL Stat. 395.0197(2)
- Certified Professional Healthcare Risk Manager highly preferred
- Staff RN experience
- Prefer entry level management experience
