For over 50 years, the Healthsouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Reading has been serving patients from Berks, Chester, Montgomery, Lehigh, Lancaster counties and beyond. Located on 35 acres of gently rolling hills, in Berks County, south of Reading and just five miles from the turnpike, HealthSouth Reading is a 60-bed acute rehabilitation hospital that offers comprehensive and rehabilitation services as well as Home Health service.

Within our acute rehabilitation hospital, the role of a Registered Nurse encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The Registered Nurse establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
License or Certification:
Must be in possession of current state license or certification on or before the first day of employment
CPR certification preferred unless otherwise required by hospital policy.
Education, Training and Years of Experience:
RN degree and active PA State license.
Previous hospital acute care experience ideal, but not required.
Good visual acuity and ability to communicate
Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds of medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.
